Technological Areas

The technologies available for clean energy are the generation of electricity for self consumption, the use of biomass for thermal use both for a domestic scale and an for an industrial one, or for the generation of electric energy, mini hydraulics and mini windpower. The implementation of energy crops adapted to soil and climates where they don’t compete with food production is very promising.

On health related technologies, innovative development and plague control such as malaria, dengue, zika and chikungunya are a hope to improve quality of life.

When it comes to food production and the logistic problems that are expected for the future, the crops from urban farms (urban-farming, vertical farming) bring possible solutions for the need of safe products (without pesticides), with savings of 90% of water consumption and closer to the consumption locations (lower CO2 fingerprints)
